Louis Fratino lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated with a BFA in Painting (Illustration concentration) from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2015. During 2015-16, he was a Fulbright Research Fellow in Berlin, having previously received the Yale Norfolk Painting Fellowship in 2014. His first institutional solo exhibition, "Satura," is on view at Centro Pecci through May 11, 2025. In 2024, his work was included in the 60th Venice Biennale's main exhibition, "Stranieri Ovunque – Foreigners Everywhere." Fratino's work is held in the permanent collections of major institutions including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (MCA), the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston (ICA), and the Hammer Museum.
